Dr. Roy Beveridge
Having
received his B.A. in Biology/Cell Biology from Johns Hopkins University,
Dr. Beveridge obtained his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College.
From there he completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency
at the University of Chicago Hospital before returning to Johns Hopkins
University where he completed a Clinical Fellowship. He has been heavily
involved in oncology research efforts since 1974, and he has been recognized
with many awards He has authored more than 120 publications, and has given
well over 100 lectures. Dr. Beveridge is certified by the American Board
of Internal Medicine, and he is a member of several organizations including
the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Medical Association.
He is also board certified in medical oncology. He is immediate past president
of the board of Patient Advocate Foundation, reviewer of oncology journals,
past reviewer for the FDA, chair of the International Affairs Committee
for National Marrow and Donor Foundation (NMDP), chair of the International
Committee for American Society of Bone Marrow Tranplantation (ASBMT) and
sits on committees for American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He
was awarded a fellowship from the American College of Physicians. He currently
serves as the Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Inova
Fairfax Hospital, National Medical Director for Stem Cell Transplant (US
Oncology) as well as in private practice with Fairfax-Northern Virginia
Hematology-Oncology.
Dr. Gregory Orloff
Dr.
Orloff, a native of metropolitan Washington, D.C., is a Phi Bata Kappa
graduate of Grinnell College. Dr. Orloff attended Yale Medical School
where he was graduated and selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
He completed his medical internship, residency and hematology/oncology
fellowship at the Brigham and Women?s Hospital and the Dana Farber
Cancer Institute in Boston. Dr. Orloff is board certified in Internal
Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. At the conclusion of his training
he joined the faculty in the Hematology/Oncology Division at the Brigham
Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Orloff is a member
of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical
Oncology and the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation. He joined
Fairfax-Northern Virginia Hematology-Oncology in 1995 and is the Co-Director
of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
