About Inova Health System Foundation

The spirit of philanthropy was the force that founded our hospitals in years past. Today, that same generosity of spirit continues to nourish the growth of our not-for-profit hospitals and services through the Inova Health System Foundation.

Working as a partner with individuals, corporations and foundations in the community, the Foundation helps to assure that everyone has access to health care, even when those who need it are unable to pay for care.

Charitable giving also helps us to:

• maintain 24-hour readiness in our trauma center
• develop and expand the region's most extensive and respected heart care programs
• provide training for a new generation of nurses and physicians
• conduct clinical research
• build facilities that allow us to provide advanced, compassionate patient-focused care in state-of-the-art settings
• provide vital services that cannot be fully funded through use charges alone.
