Nationally, workplace violence is a recognized hazard in healthcare. Fortunately at Inova we experience fewer incidents than many other health care facilities. Workplace violence affects our team members, patients, visitors, and community. Our patients have the right to considerate and respectful care provided in a safe environment, free from all forms of abuse, discrimination, or harassment.
Inova has zero tolerance for inappropriate language or behavior that is aggressive, disruptive or threatening. This allows us to ensure a safe and positive healing environment for everyone at our care sites.
We reserve the right to discharge individuals from care, modify visitation privileges, and pursue legal recourse in the event any healthcare worker is threatened or harmed.
