About Samir P. Kanani, MD

Dr. Samir Kanani is a specialty care physician board certified in radiation oncology and Co-Director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program at Radiation Oncology Associates. He joined Radiation Oncology Associates in 2004. His professional interests include treatment of cancers of the prostate, brain, lung, esophagus, head and neck, and gastrointestinal tract.

Dr. Kanani attended University of Texas in Austin and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in psychology and biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, TX, and completed an internship at Pennsylvania State University in State College. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, where he was chief resident. He dedicated his final year to research and training in brachytherapy and radiosurgery.
