Our Main Tower OR consists of 22 ORs that are currently under construction and is growing to 30 brand new state of the art ORs by 2022. Our unit is proud to serve as a high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room and as Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma facility. Our diverse teammates and complex patient population makes working in Tower OR exciting, with endless opportunities for professional and personal growth. Our clinical ladder program rewards teammates who are interested in obtaining CST/CNOR certification, those who demonstrate leadership, and take initiative to improve patient outcomes through clinical excellence. Demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique. Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills. Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of first scrub on all basic surgical cases. Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.
Schedule: Days vary
- Experience: Recent Hospital experience and/or previous practice experience preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
- Special Skills: Verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment. Computer skills preferred.
