Clinical Technician 3
Pediatric Emergency Department- Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The Clinical Technician 3 utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized with predictable outcomes. The Clinical Technician 3 practices under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), assisting the healthcare team to achieve desired patient outcomes Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines. Demonstrates knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and participates in performance improvement activities. Assumes responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Maintains competencies within LPN scope of practice and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
Shift: 12 Hour Day/Evening/Night
Schedule: Days Vary
Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

• Experience: Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred.
• Education: Completion of an accredited LPN school.
• Certification: BLS (From the American Heart Association).
• Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a LPN.
• Special skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
