The Clinical Director organizes and oversees team members and programs for the unit. The clinical leader will be responsible for supervising and directing nursing team members, budgets and operations. As clinical director you have to possess excellent clinical management and mentoring skills. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively and connect with team members to achieve organizational goals.
The Medical/Surgical Unit on 3B is comprised of 30 beds, half of which are semi-private. The patient population includes medical, surgical, oncology and hospice with the majority of the population in geriatrics. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5.

2 years of acute care nursing experience plus 1 year of leadership experience. Leadership experience may include RN Unit Supervisor Role, dedicated charge nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager or equivalent role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills. Proven leadership skills and highly effective at leading a team and fostering a team environment. Demonstrates professionalism. Customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain partnerships. Strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Able to serve as a mentor and a resource to other RNs.
Virginia Nursing License or Compact Nursing License
