Job Description

The Digital Project Lead will serve as the project lead and liaison with agencies/vendors, team members, and cross-functional internal project teams managing multiple digital projects for Inova’s Digital Marketing team. The position will report to the AVP, Digital Marketing. Digital Marketing sits within the Communications and Marketing department of Inova Health System, but works closely with IT, clinical operations, service lines (e.g. Primary Care, Heart and Vascular, Cancer…), Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and other internal resources, and relies heavily on support and services from 3rd party digital partners. This role will work with the AVP, Digital Marketing to field and prioritize project work, identify team resources, collaborate with cross functional teams to establish goals/KPI’s, stakeholders, requirements, and timelines. The Digital Project Lead will provide strategic direction and ensure that the digital team is involved in all decisions that require the teams support and fall in the realm of our digital capabilities. The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project life-cycle (budget, vendor/technology procurement, discover, design, development, measurement, quality assurance, launch, post-launch) are accounted for and moving in the right direction and course correcting when they are not. The Digital Project Lead will ensure that team meetings are documented and communicate key actions, takeaways, and next steps to the team following meetings and to stakeholders are on a frequent basis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with digital marketing leadership to review, assess, and prioritize project requests.
  • Aggregates and documents project requirements, and facilitates review and stakeholder sign off.
  • Works with project teams to coordinate project meetings.
  • Sets meeting agenda, ensures that participants are prepared to discuss their items.
  • Documents and distributes meeting takeaways and action items.
  • Provides regular updates including timeline, budget, progress and risks to project team, digital leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Participates in workflow improvements and efficiencies across marketing and communications division and provides feedback for more effective division operations to drive business outcomes.
  • Establishes budget through collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, and AVP, Digital Marketing.
  • Serves as main point of contact with vendor project teams.
  • Responsible for holding vendors accountable for their deliverables.
  • Uses project management software including Wrike, JIRA, MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint and tools as needed to manage projects and communicate with project teams.
  • Supports additional projects and duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.

Experience: Ten years experience in marketing, communications or related field. Healthcare experience is a plus.
