Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgical and Telemetry - Nights
The Inova Alexandria High Acuity Cardiac Surgical and Telemetry Unit is seeking a full time, day shift RN looking to take the next step in their journey. *This position is eligible for a Sign On and Relocation bonus for qualified candidates.*

Shift: Day 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required. Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.
- Performs comprehensive assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
- Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- Supports and empowers patients/families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
- Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
- Anticipates ethical, spiritual and cultural needs while intervening to maximize patient outcomes. Coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.

Experience: A minimum of 6 months of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- BSN or Associate’s Degree Nursing
- If RN has an AD, within 6 months of start date the RN must meet with their nurse leader and:
- Identify which Accredited School the employee
plans to attend
- Submit a review of transcript from the school
indicating the required pre-requisites and
timeline for taking the courses
- Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN
- Complete BSN within 24 months of start date
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification requirement
- RN Licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
