Fairfax County Public School Employee

The Fairfax County Health Department, in partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools and Inova Health System, is working to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for local teachers and school staff based on the prioritization for 1b groups as quickly as possible. Staff who have not yet registered for an appointment, will receive a scheduling link from the Fairfax County Health Department for their first COVID-19 dose. After individuals receive a first dose vaccine from Inova, they will be emailed instructions to register for their second COVID-19 dose in the days leading up to its due date. Individuals are recommended to receive a second Pfizer dose at least 21 days after they receive their first COVID-19 vaccine. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose.

For those who are eligible but are not affiliated with a public or private school in Fairfax County, or select child care providers, we ask that you continue to check our website for updates. We currently do not have available vaccine supply, but look forward to welcoming you to our Vaccination Center as soon as our supply increases.
