About Dabo Xu, MD
Dr. Dabo Xu is a specialty care physician board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2016. His clinical interests are in luminal gastrointestinal problems, particularly gastrointestinal cancer prevention, quality improvement in colonoscopy, gastroesophageal reflux disease and applying precise and personalized preventive care that better engages patients.
After graduating from Zhejiang University Medical School and Peking Union Medical College, Dr. Xu completed his postdoctoral research fellowship in GI at the University of Michigan. He completed his medical residency at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and gastroenterology fellowship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He joined the GI faculty at the University of Michigan after he graduated from his fellowship and moved to Northern Virginia with his family in 2020.
In his personal time, he likes to spend time with his wife and two kids and doing outdoor activities.
