About Ellen Jenkins, MD
Dr. Jenkins is an internist board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Jenkins has a special interest in the management of general primary care and has recently focused her practice on general medicine rather than rheumatology.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William and Mary and attended the Medical College of Virginia where she met her husband, Jim. The couple moved to Augusta, Georgia where Dr. Jenkins completed her internal medicine training. While her husband fulfilled his Army obligations in Germany, Dr. Jenkins worked for the Army as an internist. She then returned home to the Washington, DC, area to complete her rheumatology training.
Dr. Jenkins currently lives in Vienna, Virginia, with her husband. They have two sons, who are pursuing careers in medicine.
