About Kelly Johannes, PT, DPT, OCS
Kelly grew up in southern New Hampshire prior to attending Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. In 2011, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Kelly was awarded a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014 from the same institution. Her career began as an outpatient physical therapist in the capital region of New York. After a year and a half, she relocated and continued her career at Hardin Memorial Hospital's Therapy and Sports Medicine Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. During that time, she became an American Board of Physical Therapy clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS), certified Sportsmetrics™ trainer, and earned a certification in intramuscular manual therapy (dry needling). Kelly enjoys working with high school athletes, and is passionate about ACL injury prevention and recovery. She is excited to become a part of the Inova Physical Therapy family.
Kelly is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Virginia Physical Therapy Association. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, skiing and knitting.
