About Kirby Holland, PA
Kirby Holland is a board certified physician associate who joined Inova in 2018. She has experience diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries involving bones, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissue ailments in emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings. Kirby is also proficient in performing orthopedic procedures such as fracture and joint reductions, splinting, casting, aspirations, and injections, as well as first assisting during surgeries.
When not treating patients, she helps instruct a suture course for incoming practitioners, mentors new practitioners, assists in clinical research, and collaboratively teaches students and residents. In June 2021 she became a faculty instructor for the University of Virginia.
Kirby earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Virginia Tech and completed her master of physician assistant studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and certified by the National Commissions on Certification of Physician Assistants. She also has certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.
As a former athlete and someone who enjoys physical and outdoor activities, she has always had a passion for orthopedics and finds joy in helping patients restore and preserve functional mobility and quality of life.
Kirby currently resides in the Northern Virginia area. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, horseback riding, and spending quality time with her family and two Corgis.
