About Lindsay Schipper, PT, DPT
Lindsay Schipper graduated with her doctorate from Marymount University in 2010 where she also received the Inova Scholar Award and took a position with the health system. Her career is focused on the endurance athlete and complex injuries of the foot and ankle. Lindsay has experience in the use of manual therapy in healing and received her certification in 2012 to use Astym, which is a tool used to break up scar tissue and damaged soft tissue to promote the regeneration of healthy tissue to improve one's function.
In 2015, Lindsay completed her residency and received her Orthopedic Specialty Certification through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has taken a variety of continued education courses focusing on manual therapy and intervention for upper and lower body injuries. She continues to have a strong dedication to foot and ankle injuries and uses video gait analysis to assess how walking and running can contribute to dysfunction and pain. Lindsay has also taken course work on the use and fit of orthotics to assist with injury recovery.
Lindsay currently lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband and two little boys. In her spare time she loves baking, reading and playing with all the balls and cars that her kiddos throw at her.
