About Malissa Richards, PT, DPT
Malissa is a proud graduate of Ohio University where she obtained her undergraduate degree and then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. She has primarily worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting in both large hospital based practice to a small privately owned clinic. She has been with IPTC Springfield on a part-time basis since January of 2019.
Malissa’s main goal is to make treatment patient centered and set each individual up with a program that they can sustain to successfully manage their symptoms outside of the clinic. She enjoys using her manual skills, practical experience, and exercise prescription so that patient’s can help their body to move at the highest level. Primary clinical interests include geriatric patients, post-operative care, and return to sports.
Outside of work Malissa enojys traveling, exercising, hiking and generally spending time outdoors with her toddler and husband.
