About Stanley Strickberger, MD

Dr. Adam Strickberger is a board certified cardiac electrophysiologist. He has been treating patients with cardiac arrhythmias since 1992. Dr. Strickberger graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and later completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Strickberger was on the medical faculty at the University of Michigan from 1992-2002. Since then, he has been practicing in the greater Washington, DC, area. His practice is limited to the diagnosis and treatment of all cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, cardiac arrest, supraventricular tachycardia, bradycardia, and syncope, among others. He has been placing pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and performing cardiac ablation since 1990. He performs ablations for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, and atrial flutter, among others. Dr. Strickberger also implants the WATCHMAN™ device and performs lead extractions.

Dr. Strickberger has more than 200 peer reviewed publications, has a national and international reputation in electrophysiology, and is Co-Director of the Inova WATCHMAN Program.
