Yael Silverman, LCSW

Yael “Ellie” Silverman is a licensed clinical social worker who joined Inova Health System with more than 15 years of clinical experience. Prior to joining Inova, Ellie has worked in a variety of clinical settings including a partial hospitalization program, an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, and a community mental health practice. In all of her roles, she has focused her clinical work on supporting adults living with chronic illness. She has experience providing integrated care in a primary care setting through her work with CareMore Health, an integrated primary care practice in Washington, DC.

Ellie has been passionate about integrated care since completing her master’s in social work at Tulane University in New Orleans. Her whole-person approach to mental healthcare aims to meet individuals’ goals for their mental health in order to improve their overall wellness and quality of life. Ellie encourages partnerships between primary care providers, specialty practices and family members to assist patients in meeting their goals. 

A native of Cincinnati, Ellie has called the Washington, DC, region home since 2004. She currently resides in Arlington, VA, with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, she is an avid football fan and enjoys yoga and cooking.
