Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage refers to a collection of strokes applied to the body using creams or lotions with the main purpose of improving blood circulation and assisting in the disposal of waste materials from the body tissues. Swedish massage aids in the reduction of tension and anxiety, decreases muscle soreness, speeds tissue healing and supports the immune system.

Deep Tissue Massage

This modality focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue to effectively release chronic muscle tension. One of our therapists will apply direct and focused pressure of varying levels of intensity to specific points on the body.

Pregnancy Massage

This soothing massage is designed to focus on the relief of pregnancy-related discomforts. The massage relaxes the mommy-to-be, reduces stress, increases oxygen supply, and stimulates the circulatory and lymph systems.

A pregnancy massage can only be performed during the second and third trimester. Please consult with your physician before having this service.

Warm Stone Massage

For centuries, varying cultures have combined the use of hot and cold stones from the river and lava beds with massage to relieve aching muscles, improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulate energy meridians.

During this treatment, heated basalt stones are applied to targeted points on the body. The warm stones expand blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted metabolic waste materials through the body while promoting relaxation.

Sports Massage

Designed for active or athletic individuals, our skilled therapists will utilize varying techniques based on how the client uses his or her body. Therapists will use deep tissue massage, stretching, and rhythmic tapping to rejuvenate sore, tired muscles or to prepare them for an intense training day.

Myofascial Release Massage

An extremely gentle yet effective technique that treats restrictions caused by trauma, inflammation and/or surgical procedures. This bodywork technique can be used when the client does not respond to traditional physical, occupational and massage therapy. Myofascial release (MFR) can successfully treat the following symptoms and problems: back pain, headaches, whiplash, pelvic pain, sports injuries, chronic pain, neurological dysfunction, chronic fatigue syndrome, jaw pain, sciatica and fibromyalgia, among many others.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A healthy, active lymphatic system uses the natural movements of smooth muscle tissue to do this. However, surgery or other damage can sometimes cause fluid buildup in your lymph system and lymph nodes – a condition known as lymphedema. 

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a type of massage that encourages the natural drainage of the lymph. Your therapist will use a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate the lymph flow.

Couple's Massage

Enjoy a relaxing Swedish Massage alongside your significant other. Massages are performed simultaneously in the same room. However, each individual enjoys the attention of his or her own licensed massage therapist. Treatments are tailored to each person’s needs and areas of tension.

Oncology Massage

We understand that the diagnosis of cancer and its treatment takes a large toll on the mind, body and spirit. The goal of oncology massage is to provide comfort-oriented massage or touch, in an effort to soothe, nurture, and piece the body together.

Our massage therapists licensed in oncology massage are aware of the needs of those who have gone through cancer treatment, such as adjusting for the risk of lymphedema, fatigue, bruising, immunosuppression, and the side effects of trauma to the body and spirit. The key to safety and comfort for our clients is in the adjustment of pressure, length of session, positioning, and avoidance of affected areas of body.

All people with cancer or recovering from its treatment – regardless of the severity of their condition – can receive comfort-oriented touch therapies including Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, and fascial release techniques.

Bodywork treatment during treatment and immediate recovery is undemanding, supportive and soothing. As the client returns, massage sessions can be part of improving function through range of motion techniques or scar release, or re-establish body image.

Reiki is a form of therapeutic touch. It is an energy medicine that is classified by the National Institute of Health (NIH) as a complementary alternative medicine (CAM). Reiki uses a technique commonly called palm healing or hands on healing to help bring balance to the recipient, thereby creating a deep sense of well-being.

The intent of Reiki is to raise the amount of positive energy flow in the body by releasing blocks that can create illness on all levels. Reiki promotes a deep sense of relaxation where enhanced healing can take place. When a body is deeply relaxed, blood pressure lowers and respirations slow.

By using gentle hand placements within the energy meridians of the body, Reiki works as a complement to traditional medicine, or can be used cumulatively on its own to encourage healing. It is a non-invasive, non-manipulative form of therapy.
