Fredericka L. Richardson, MHSA, MT (ASCP)

Program Director, Inova Phlebotomy School

Freddie has served in the role of Manager of Operation Support for the past 11 years. Prior to that position she was the Supervisor of Phlebotomy with 50 direct reports. Teaching team members and making sure all competencies were done is a challenge that she enjoyed accomplishing, as she enjoys sharing her knowledge. Freddie graduated from Strayer University with a master’s degree in health services administration. She also holds a Certificate in Medical Technology from Wake Forest University and a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Catawba College.

Aalia DeCamp

Aalia DeCamp, MLS (ASCP), BS

Program Coordinator, Inova Phlebotomy School

Aalia DeCamp, MLS (ASCP), BS, is the program coordinator for the Inova Phlebotomy School and has more than 17 years of medical laboratory experience. She has worked in all avenues of the laboratory in regards to direct patient care, specimen processing, and laboratory leadership. She owned and operated her own APA accredited phlebotomy school on the eastern shore of Maryland before moving to Virginia and joining Inova. She is currently one the managers of Laboratory Services.

Nuchi Vue

Nuchi Vue, BSN, RN, PHN, CPT

Program Education Coordinator, Inova Phlebotomy School

Nuchi Vue, BSN, RN, PHN, CPT, serves as the Program Education Coordinator for Inova Phlebotomy School. With a deep passion for healthcare, Nuchi was inspired by her grandfather, a veteran doctor, and her grandmother, a veteran nurse, to pursue a career in healthcare. After completing medical assistant training, Nuchi discovered her love for phlebotomy and laboratory processing and has since gained more than 12 years of experience in honing her phlebotomy skills.

In addition to her extensive experience, Nuchi also holds a bachelor of science in nursing, allowing her to bridge the gap between nursing and phlebotomy. She takes pride in sharing her knowledge and helping others succeed, making her career as the program education coordinator and nursing truly fulfilling.

A.J. Hughes

A.J. Hughes, BA, MA

A.J. Hughes is the Manager of Fixed Site Collections for Inova Blood Donor Services. He has been with Inova Health System since 1984 and worked in genal medicine, general surgery, and heart and vascular surgery before coming to IBDS in 1992. He started his career in the medical field as a Medical Specialist in the U.S. Army. He trained at the Academy of Health Sciences at Fort Sam Houston, and did emergency medicine rotations at a number of military hospitals before coming to Inova. He later studied biology at Norther Virginia Community College, and has bachelor's and master’s degrees in literature and cultural studies. A.J. has been involved in training at IBDS for some time, and works very closely with the training staff. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College and has been teaching there for more than 12 years.
