Mary Elizabeth Miller Radiation Oncology Center, located on the Lansdowne campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital, provides comprehensive radiation therapy services for cancer patients and numerous free support services and educational programs. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons, the center was nationally recognized in March 2009 with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer. This distinction was awarded to only 93 hospitals across the country and recognizes cancer programs that strive for excellence.
The Cancer Center features state-of-the-art equipment, including a three-dimensional treatment-planning system that enables our doctors to localize treatments with great precision. Our linear accelerator provides both intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image guided radiation therapy (IGRT). We also offer seed implants for prostate cancer patients.
The Cancer Center was designed to enhance patient care, comfort and privacy. "Healing environment" concepts create a serene and peaceful setting, with natural colors and textures, a water feature and expansive windows overlooking a healing garden.
