Loren Rufino, MBA, serves as
Interim President of Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and Senior Vice President of Perioperative Services, with administrative oversight for Inova's Surgery and Musculoskeletal service lines.
In his systemwide leadership role, Loren provides strategic direction and operational oversight for Inova’s hospital-based operating rooms and joint venture ambulatory surgery centers. His responsibilities include guiding annual strategic planning, strengthening surgical operations and supporting continued growth across Inova’s medical network and outpatient sites.
A longtime Inova leader, Loren joined the organization in 2003 as a senior systems analyst and has advanced through a series of operational and executive leadership roles over the past 23 years. He previously served as Vice President of Ambulatory Practice Operations, where he led operations and growth for Inova’s outpatient practices, urgent care centers, outpatient physical therapy centers and corporate services.
Loren earned a master of business administration from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in health science from George Mason University. He remains active in the community, serving as a Commissioner with Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and on the George Mason Honors College Dean’s Advisory Committee. He previously served on the boards of Celebrate Fairfax, including as chair, and Leadership Fairfax.
