Daquan "Q" Stephenson obtained an MBA in healthcare administration from Ball State University. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University. Q’s previous experience includes working as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) at several children’s hospitals along the east coast and across four service lines. Q is dedicated to the advancement of healthcare and equitable considerations for diverse populations, volunteering for the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) and mentoring with DreamBigger Incorporated.
LaJeanne "Jonni" Smith is a current MHA Candidate at The George Washington University. Jonni graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 2020 where she majored in Political Science with a concentration in Public Health. Jonni’s previous experience includes completing an Administrative Internship at UCHealth in the Ambulatory Operations Department and working for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing as a Health Systems Support Analyst.
Inova's Administrative Fellowship Program provides exposure to healthcare management and leadership development to highly qualified early careerists through a 12-month rotational program and structured learning series.
Fellows are partnered with senior level preceptors and mentors to foster their learning while also leading priority work for Inova. Program rotations across administration, operations, strategy and the clinical enterprise will serve as robust learning opportunities to foster an understanding of overall health system governance, leadership and operations.
Coming Summer 2023
Mark Lainoff is an MHA graduate from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. During Mark's fellowship he had the opportunity to learn about Inova's medicine service line. His capstone project focused on reshaping the needs and capacity of Inova's central region within Northern Virginia. Mark has joined Inova's strategic planning and business development team to help shape the future of Inova.
Jane is an MHA graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her rotations supporting physician services and Inova's pediatric service line. Jane's capstone project focused around Inova's drive towards excellence which helped focus on the success of our transformation journey. Jane has joined our surgical service line in a leadership role supporting business operations.
Audrey is an MPH graduate from Yale School of Public Health. Audrey's previous experience includes working as a Clinical Effectiveness Intern at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY, and served on the board of directors at a student-run free clinic. During Audrey’s fellowship, she had the opportunity to gail operational experience at one of our sites of care and emerge herself in Inova’s Behavioral Health Service Line. Audrey has joined Inova’s Continuous Improvement team to help shape the future of Inova.
Daniel holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Before joining Inova, Daniel worked with Kaiser Permanente and with Ascension DePaul Community Health Systems in change management and operations roles. During Daniel’s fellowship, he had the opportunity to work with leaderships in our Heart & Vascular Service Line and one of our sites of care. In addition, Daniel's capstone journey incorporated understanding the depth of human resources strategies. Daniel has joined Inova Fairfax Hospital in a leadership role supporting Inpatient Operations.
