Bobby Cockram Jr., DMSC, PA-C, started his role as System Director of the Advanced Practice Providers in May 2021. Prior to becoming the System APP Director, Bobby served as the Chief Advanced Practice Provider within the Medicine Service Line at Inova Fairfax Hospital for eight years. In his new role, Bobby works with Inova's senior leadership, service lines, and hospital leaders in overall coordination and management of APPs throughout the health system.
Bobby joined Inova Health System in 2013 with the Department of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Hospital. During his tenure, he was responsible for managing Medical Critical Care Services across Inova’s hospitals, including Advanced Practice Provider team members. Before that, Bobby worked as a Physician Assistant at various organizations across Virginia with responsibilities in direct patient care and operational management.
Bobby received his Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center after graduating from PA school at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.
