Background Information

The goal of the PHAR is to measure and improve quality of care (including assessing differences in adherence to evidence-based guidelines and establishing benchmarks for health outcomes) while determining the clinical effectiveness, comparative effectiveness, and cost effectiveness of treatment approaches.

Eligibility Information

  • New patients to Inova Fairfax Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Clinic with either newly diagnosed or established PAH (Group 1) or CTEPH (Group 4) (within 6 months of first outpatient visit)
  • Patient must give informed consent to have data to be abstracted and included in the PHAR
  • Able to understand and speak either English or Spanish
