Katherine "Liz" Eberly, MD

Dr. Eberly was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Northern Virginia. She attended George Mason University for her undergraduate studies where she majored in biology with a minor in international affairs. After college, she attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where she developed a passion for gastroenterology and hepatology. She completed her internal medicine residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, during which time she published several papers on gastroenterology and hepatology. She served an additional year as Internal Medicine Chief Resident followed by a year as an internal medicine hospitalist before pursuing GI fellowship. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family

Dipam Shah, MD

Dr. Dipam Shah was born and grew up in India and moved to the United States at the age of 8. He grew up in Scranton, PA, where he attended the University of Scranton and majored in biochemistry and molecular biology and then obtained his medical education from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, also in Scranton.

Residency brought him to Northern Virginia, where he developed a strong interest in point-of-care ultrasound and medical education, prompting him to stay on as Chief Resident. Throughout his residency, Dr. Shah has published several papers on topics in gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as on the utility of point-of-care ultrasound in gastrointestinal setting.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing tennis, cooking, spending time with his co-residents, and exploring the diverse food scene in the DMV area.
