Located on Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, we share state-of-the-art technology, research and teaching innovations, and a dedicated team approach to patient care, including national Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.
As Northern Virginia's only pediatric tertiary care center, we provide only the highest level of care for our young patients. We are home to the region's most advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a pediatric emergency room, and the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (pediatric ICU). More than 400 board-certified pediatricians, family practice physicians and pediatric specialists provide care in the hospital's technologically advanced, yet child-friendly environment.
Our programs are nationally recognized. Inova Children’s Hospital has been ranked 35th in the nation in Neonatology by U.S. News & World Report. The AAP Level IV NICU was the first in the nation to receive the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Prenatal Care. The PICU has been recognized with the Gold Level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
