Applicant requirements
All requirements must be completed by the application deadline of January 2, 2026.
All PGY1 and PGY2 residents must be:
- A graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited doctor of pharmacy degree program
- Licensed, or able to obtain pharmacist licensure, with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Pharmacy by July 1 of the incoming residency year
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Able to participate in and adhere to the rules of the residency matching program (RMP) process
PGY2 residents must also:
- Have completed or be currently enrolled in an ASHP-accredited or candidate-status PGY-1 pharmacy residency program

Application review and selection
Qualified applicants will be selected and invited for interviews in January and February. After the interviews, applicants will be ranked and rankings will be submitted to the ASHP resident matching program.
