Dr. Allison Tweedie is a specialty care physician board certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at Inova. She joined Inova Kellar Center in 2020.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Tweedie worked as an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente in Burke, VA.

Dr. Tweedie provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy and partial hospitalization services. Her clinical areas of interest include mood and anxiety disorders. She takes a family-centered approach when she works with children and adolescents.

Dr. Tweedie earned her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She then completed her residency in psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Prior to medical school, she studied nutrition, receiving her bachelor’s degree in human biology, health and society at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
