Dr. Amar Gulati is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon devoted to high-quality, patient-centered medical and surgical care. Originally from Northern Virginia, he is excited to be back in his hometown caring for patients.

Dr. Gulati received his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Virginia. He subsequently worked in the medical field for several years before receiving his medical degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a rigorous surgical residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. He further expanded his training and skill set by completing an additional year as a fellow at The Reconstruction Institute in Bellevue, Ohio. Dr. Gulati has a diverse skill set, with expertise in 3D-printed implants, complex limb salvage, sports medicine, nerve surgery, soft tissue reconstruction and Charcot reconstruction.

Dr. Gulati is a member of the teaching faculty for the podiatric surgery residency programs at MedStar Health and Inova. Teaching is one of his favorite parts of his work, allowing him to share what he has learned from his mentors with the next generation of physicians.

In his free time, he enjoys running, cooking, music and spending time with his family.
