About Arsal H. Tharwani, MD

Dr. Arsal Tharwani is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary critical care medicine. He joined Inova in 2026 and has been practicing since 2023.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Tharwani was a pulmonary critical care fellow at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Tharwani’s clinical areas of interest include asthma, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, COPD and bronchiectasis. He is passionate about pulmonary medicine and enjoys caring for patients across the full spectrum of respiratory conditions. His practice when it comes to patient care is built on a simple principle: patients come first.

In his free time, Dr. Tharwani loves running, hiking and playing soccer.
