Dr. Bharti Patel is a primary care physician board eligible in internal medicine. She joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2022.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Patel was an internal medicine resident at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Dr. Patel earned both her undergraduate degree and medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University before completing her internal medicine residency at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. Throughout her training, she developed a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered primary care, with a focus on building strong, trusting relationships that support long-term health.

Her clinical interests include preventive care, women’s health, and the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, asthma, and obesity. She also enjoys helping patients integrate sustainable lifestyle habits into their daily routines and is passionate about making evidence-based care more accessible and easier to understand.

At Inova, Dr. Patel is dedicated to delivering the system’s promise of world-class, compassionate healthcare through every patient interaction. As a new mother, she brings a practical, empathetic perspective to her work and understands the real-life challenges patients face when balancing health, work, and family. She values culturally responsive care and welcomes patients who prefer to communicate in Hindi or Gujarati.

In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, exercising, reading, painting, and exploring vegetarian cooking. She also enjoys connecting with other parents and supporting individuals navigating busy stages of life. She speaks Hindi and Gujarati.
