About Daniel G. Larriviere, MD

Dr. Dan Larriviere is a board-certified neurologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He is the Associate Chair for Neurology Based Programs for the Inova Neurosciences service line and the Medical Director of Inova Neuromuscular Disease Program.

Dr. Larriviere specializes in the treatment neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, peripheral neuropathy, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease).

He became interested in neurology because of the elegant design and function of the nervous system and because he viewed neurologic disease as one of the last frontiers of medicine. His goal is to utilize his skills and expertise to help his patients understand and manage their conditions by appreciating each patient’s needs through the development of a personal and trusting relationship.
