Read Danielle’s Personal Statement Below

I come into the field of healthcare naturally as multiple members of my family work in nursing, public health and science. Consequently, I have always loved problem solving, science, and connecting with people. For me, being a physician assistant incorporates all three. I feel the most valuable skills I can offer are listening, understanding my patients’ needs, and providing salient advice. I want every one of my patients to genuinely feel cared for and have a better understanding of their health.

Working with surgical patients allows me to ensure they understand the benefits and risks associated with their surgery. Providing good education and outlining what they can expect both pre-operatively and post-operatively helps to alleviate their anxieties and optimizes their outcome.

I am diligent about staying up to date with the latest advancements in my field as I love reading, researching, and attending professional conferences. Being a Physician Assistant has brought tremendous value to my life. It is a humbling professional that is never predictable but always grounding. Working in healthcare gives me both a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

When I am not enjoying my role as physician assistant, you can find me enjoying yoga, running, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
