About Jared A. Spitz, MD

Dr. Jared Spitz is a specialty care physician board certified in cardiovascular disease at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 2016.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Spitz was a clinical fellow in cardiovascular disease at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY. During his fellowship, Dr. Spitz developed skills in general cardiology with a particular focus in prevention and multimodality imaging. He has also researched the role of imaging in structural cardiology and the role of clinical genetic testing in coronary artery disease.

Dr. Spitz seeks to provide all patients with comprehensive cardiac care that includes prevention, general cardiology and critical care in the outpatient and hospital settings. He will continue to purse research on the intersection of genetics, imaging and coronary disease.
