About Jin Young Youn, MD

Dr. Jin Youn is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology at Inova Health System. She joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 2015.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Youn worked as a physician at Kaiser/TPMG in Modesto, CA.

Dr. Youn’s clinical areas of interest include obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, vaginitis, menopause and adolescent/pediatric gynecology. Dr. Youn’s interest in women's health started when she went on medical missions to Gambia in 2009. She witnessed a postpartum mom who had walked more than three hours to receive care for her and her child. Dr. Youn saw the tremendous impact the midwives and physicians had educating the mom about not only the baby's health, but her own health as well.

As a physician, Dr. Youn believes her role is to educate, empower and guide her patients to make the best decisions about their health and wellbeing. She strongly believes in evidence-based medicine but understands that culture and ethnic background is an important part of individual identity. She is excited to come back and practice in Northern Virginia to provide quality and compassionate care to a diverse population.

Outside the office, Dr. Youn enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
