About Kinjal Parikh, MD

Dr. Kinjal Parikh is a board-certified pediatric and fetal cardiologist. After 13 years away from her hometown of Clarksville, MD, she was excited to return to the DMV area in 2020 and join the Inova medical community. For her college and medical education, she attended an accelerated seven-year medical program at Drexel University in Philadelphia. After this, she completed her pediatrics residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa and her pediatric cardiology fellowship at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami.

She has a special interest in noninvasive imaging, particularly fetal and transthoracic echocardiography, as well as pulmonary hypertension. Her research interests include cardiac imaging, fetal cardiology, outcomes in patients with congenital heart disease and quality improvement in pediatric cardiology. She has maintained an active role in several associations such as the American Society of Echocardiography and the Fetal Heart Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Parikh enjoys spending time with her family. She loves outdoor adventures, traveling and trying new cuisines, and absolutely loves listening to audiobooks.
