Dr. Mahwish Hussain is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine. She joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2003.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Hussain served as a primary care physician at Comprehensive Primary Care and Associates.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Hussain is known for her compassionate and dedicated approach to patient care. She provides comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families, with a focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and health promotion. She is committed to building long-term relationships with her patients to support their well-being at every stage of life.

Dr. Hussain earned her medical degree from Army Medical College in Pakistan and completed her residency at Howard University Hospital, where she refined her skills in diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. She emphasizes a holistic approach to health, addressing both physical and emotional aspects of care.

Recognized for her patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Hussain takes time to listen to her patients’ concerns, answer their questions, and develop personalized treatment plans. Whether managing chronic conditions, conducting routine checkups, or advising on lifestyle changes, she empowers individuals to take an active role in their health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hussain enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and is passionate about community involvement and health advocacy.
