Melody graduated from the College of William and Mary with a B.S. in Kinesiology & Health Sciences and Psychology. She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Melody has a particular interest in working with athletes and treating patients with sports injuries.

In her spare time, Melody enjoys hiking, traveling, and skiing. She races in triathlons and formerly was a competitive swimmer.
