About Miriam Lender, MD
Dr. Miriam Lender is dual board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She joined Inova Medical Group – Gainesville in July 2013 with more than five years of clinical experience. Dr. Lender first became interested in pediatrics while helping her mother take care of children in her home daycare while growing up. During her medical training, she realized she wanted to continue to take care of her pediatric patients through adulthood as she enjoys taking care of adults as well. This led to her decision to do a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics to take care of patients of all ages.
Dr. Lender’s interests are in taking care of the entire family with emphasis on preventative medicine to encourage a healthy lifestyle and prevention of disease. She completed two years of chief residency before joining Inova Medical Group, leading to her enjoyment in educating patients and their families on healthcare related topics.
She currently lives in Centreville with her husband and enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and spending time with her family.
