About Nandina Ustaris, PT, DPT
Nandina graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. She undertook a career change and pursued her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University, graduating in 2010. Prior to joining Inova in 2011, she worked in a skilled nursing facility. Nandina enjoys working with the geriatric population and is particularly interested in geriatric wellness. She is interested in falls prevention and has run several community events with the Northern District of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association.
Nandina is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Virginia Physical Therapy Association and has served on various committees. She is also a member of the Orthopedics and Geriatrics Sections of the APTA. She became a Senior Physical Therapist in 2014 and the Rehabilitation Clinical Coordinator for IPTC Alexandria in 2018. She became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2019.
Nandina has lived in several different countries growing up but considers Hawaii her home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
