About Otilia Neacsu, MD

Dr. Otilia Neacsu is a specialty care physician board certified pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology and internal medicine at Inova Health System.

Dr. Neacsu graduated from medical school in Romania; completed an internal medicine and pediatric residency in New York City; and joined Inova in 2011 after graduating from a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Neacsu’s clinical areas of interest include thyroid cancer, endocrine disorders, late effects of cancer treatment, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, type 1 diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes mellitus. She enjoys working with all pediatric ranges. Her patient care philosophy is to try her best to apply her skills and experiences to work together with the patient and the patient’s family toward a common goal. She is an educator, a partner in care and a cheerleader for her patients and their families. Dr. Neacsu’s patient care goals are to be a good listener, to serve as a good partner in care, to make sure that the patient and family understand their common goal and options, and to set up reasonable expectations.

Outside the office, Dr. Neacsu enjoys spending time with family, reading, cooking, walking in nature, hiking, biking and traveling.
