About Parvez M. Lokhandwala, MD, PhD

Dr. Parvez Lokhandwala is a specialty care physician board certified in clinical pathology, molecular genetic pathology, and blood banking and transfusion medicine. He joined Inova in 2025 and has been practicing since 2012.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Lokhandwala was Chief of Pathology at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute in Baltimore, where he also served as the CLIA Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory. In addition, he was the CLIA Medical Director of the Translational Genomics (clinical molecular diagnostics) Laboratory at the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCC). He chaired the University of Maryland Medical System Blood Bank & Transfusion Medicine Committee, held an appointment as clinical associate professor of pathology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and served as the CLIA Medical Director of the Frederick Health Hospital Blood Donor Center.
