About Rita M. Battey, FNP

Rita Battey is a family nurse practitioner with expertise in general urology and surgical urologic oncology. She first joined Inova in 2023 and rejoined in 2025. She has been practicing as a nurse since 2016.

Prior to rejoining Inova, Rita was a nurse practitioner at VHC Health – Urology in Alexandria, VA.

With a strong foundation in nursing, Rita earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seton Hall University and her master’s degree in nursing from George Mason University.

As an ANCC-certified FNP, Rita brings a wealth of knowledge and a patient-centered approach to practice. With years of experience in urology, Rita is committed to providing exceptional care for patients. Passionate about advancing the field, Rita continuously seeks to expand her skills and stay at the forefront of clinical practice.

Outside of work, Rita enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, experiencing new and exciting adventures, and fostering both personal and professional growth.
