About Sanna Ronkainen, MD
Dr. Sanna Ronkainen is a specialty care physician board certified in dermatology and internal medicine. She joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2013. A Northern Virginia native, she completed her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and subsequently completed combined internal medicine and dermatology residency training at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Ronkainen was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and the Associate Program Director of the Dermatology Residency Program at MedStar-Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Ronkainen joined Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center with an interest in caring for patients with a history of melanoma, who need skin cancer screening examinations, or who develop cutaneous reactions/rashes while undergoing treatments for their cancer.
