Velee Patel is a doctorally prepared and board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She joined Inova in 2023 and has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2022.

Prior to joining Inova, Velee graduated from Rutgers University and completed a Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.

Velee has joined Inova with a strong clinical interest in managing complex patients with advanced heart failure, requiring mechanical circulatory support devices and transplants. In her practice, she prioritizes building rapport by looking beyond the diagnosis and getting to know her patients and their loved ones. Her patient care philosophy is to invest the same commitment and dedication that she would invest in those closest to her.
