What types of visits are we currently offering?
Inova Cares for Children serves as a medical home for newborns up to 21 years of age for patients that reflects the cultural diversity of the community we serve. Inova Cares for Children provides comprehensive pediatric services that includes well-childcare, immunizations, and school/sports physicals, immunizations, and nutritional counseling.
The Inova Cares pediatric sick clinic is co-located with the Falls Church Inova Cares for Children primary care practice, and this pediatric sick clinic prioritizes access for children whose medical home is the Falls Church ICCC who have common sick symptoms including fevers, ear infections, sore throats, etc., receiving the care they need to return to daycare or school as soon as possible.
- Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. There are limited appointments based on the number of providers on a given day, so it's recommended to arrive early.
- If all appointments for the day are filled up, you may be directed to an urgent care or the emergency department. In some instances, you may be able to return on the next business day.
Inova Cares for Children, a service of Inova Health System, was established in 1993 as a response to the inability of uninsured or Medicaid mothers to secure an affordable medical home for their children. Inova Cares falls under the mission of Inova Health System to improve the health of the diverse community we serve through excellence in patient care, education and research.
