Our expert team is educated and trained to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, which includes a comprehensive assessment of your current nutrition status, followed by individual nutrition recommendations. To support your overall health and well-being we also factor any medical conditions, treatments, medications, and laboratory results into your nutrition plan.

Ashley is a Northern Virginia native with a background in clinical healthcare and public health. She currently serves as a Care Coordinator, providing administrative and scheduling support to the oncology dietitian team. In this role, Ashley collaborates closely with multidisciplinary care teams to address patients’ nutrition needs and connects individuals with dietitians and supportive resources based on their disease types. She plays a key role in ensuring timely, coordinated, and patient-centered care. Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in community health and a Master of Public Health from George Mason University. She is passionate about supporting patients throughout their care journey and is committed to delivering compassionate, organized, and supportive care. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, and listening to jazz music.

Amanda is a Registered Dietitian with board certification as a nutrition support clinician (CNSC) who joined Inova Schar Cancer and Peterson Life with Cancer in October 2023. Amanda grew up in Northern Virginia before completing her bachelor’s degree in dietetics at James Madison University. She then went on to earn her master's degree in nutrition and dietetics while completing her dietetic internship at the University of North Florida. Since 2014 she has enjoyed providing medical nutrition therapy for medical and surgical oncology patients in the hospital setting and looks forward to expanding this experience to the outpatient setting.

Emily is a Registered Dietitian who started with Inova in March 2019 before joining the Inova Schar Cancer team in March 2022. She is currently the Team Lead for the Oncology Dietitians. Emily is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her master's degree in nutrition and dietetics. She formerly worked on the bone marrow transplant unit at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, before relocating to the Northern Virginia area. Emily is a board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) as well as a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC). Emily is thrilled to continue her work with the oncology patient population and enjoys building relationships with patients while helping them use evidence-based recommendations to improve nutrition outcomes.

Kelsey is a Registered Dietitian who has been working in the Inova Health System since 2020. Kelsey grew up in New Jersey before completing her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Delaware. Kelsey then completed her dietetic internship through Virginia Tech with rotations throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. She has experience providing medical nutrition therapy in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Kelsey is currently part of the team at the Inova Saville Cancer Screening & Prevention Center and helps patients decrease their risk of developing cancer.

Carrie is a Registered Dietitian who has been working with the Inova Health System since October 2020. She joined the Inova Schar Cancer team in May 2021. Carrie graduated from the College of William and Mary with her bachelor's degree in neuroscience. She then went on to receive her master's degree in clinical nutrition from New York University and completed her clinical training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. As a board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO), Carrie is passionate about helping oncology patients meet their nutrition needs.

Tressa is a Registered Dietitian who joined Inova Schar Cancer and Peterson Life with Cancer in April 2026. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she went on to achieve her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Virginia Tech. Tressa has experience working with patients to provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and nutrition counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She enjoys building relationships with patients and is passionate about supporting evidence-based nutrition recommendations during cancer survivorship. She is currently a team member at the Inova Saville Cancer Screening & Prevention Center working with patients to decrease their risk of cancer recurrence.

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian who joined Inova Schar Cancer & Peterson Life with Cancer in April 2018. She is a native of the Northern Virginia area and graduated from James Madison University with her bachelor’s degree in dietetics. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and has spent her career supporting the nutrition needs of oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Lauren holds board certifications in oncology nutrition (CSO), nutrition support (CNSC), and advanced practice (RD-AP). She completed her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health policy from George Mason University in 2023 with hopes of contributing to policy change to improve access to Registered Dietitians in the ambulatory oncology setting.

Sara is a Registered Dietitian and board-certified specialist in oncology (CSO) who joined Inova in July 2014 and is currently working full time with the infusion and radiation oncology team at the Fair Oaks location. She was raised in Annandale, Virginia.

Sara graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in dietetics, a bachelor's degree in Spanish and minors in medical Spanish, Latin American culture, and biology. She then completed her dietetic internship in Augusta, Georgia at the Charlie Norwood Veterans Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia where she gained hands on experience working with cancer patients and patients with war related injuries. After the internship, Sara then went on to work within Inova while finishing a master's Degree in nutrition education through American University. Sara aims to continue working with cancer patients of all backgrounds and cultures.

Molly is a Registered Dietitian who completed her Dietetic Internship at the University of the Incarnate Word in her hometown of San Antonio in 2009. Until moving to the DMV area in 2019, she primarily worked supporting the complex nutritional needs of patients in a critical care setting. Molly shifted her focus to oncology when she began working within the Inova Health System in April 2020 and officially joined the Inova Schar Cancer and Peterson Life with Cancer nutrition team in March 2021. Molly is a board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and nutrition support (CNSC) and is thrilled to have discovered her passion for helping individuals navigate the nutritional challenges associated with cancer and cancer treatments.

Audie is a Registered Dietitian who joined Inova Schar Cancer and Peterson Life with Cancer in June 2025. After discovering her passion for dietetics during active-duty military service with the United States Army, Audie returned to the world of academia to earn her second bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of the District of Columbia. She then completed her Dietetic Internship through the Virginia Tech program in Northern Virginia. Audie has also served on the board of directors for the District of Columbia Metro Academy of Nutrition for six years in a variety of positions. She is currently pursuing an MS degree in clinical nutrition through the University of Wisconsin-Madison to continue building her skills in administering effective medical nutrition therapy.

Andrea is a Registered Dietitian who joined Inova Schar Cancer and Peterson Life with Cancer in August 2025. She is originally from Puerto Rico and earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She later completed a master's degree in nutrition intervention, communication, and behavior change at Tufts University, along with a certificate in the Didactic Program in Dietetics from Simmons University in Boston. Andrea completed her clinical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she also trained in oncology nutrition at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Andrea is passionate about using evidence-based nutrition care to support patients’ health, comfort, and quality of life during treatment and survivorship.

Maret is a Registered Dietitian who joined Inova Schar Cancer in February 2026. She is originally from Roanoke, Virginia. Maret received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nutrition from Virginia Tech. She started her career as an inpatient dietitian primarily providing medical nutrition therapy for oncology patients. Maret is honored to support the nutrition needs and goals of her patients during their cancer treatment.
