Dr. Christopher Connolly is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine at Inova Health System. He joins Inova with more than 24 years of clinical experience.

Prior to joining Inova Primary Care in 2016, he served as the Medical Director and Chief Medical Information Officer of Nova Medical Group and Urgent Care. Most recently, Dr. Connolly worked as a primary care physician for Inova Primary Care in Ashburn and as a lead physician informaticist for Inova Primary Care.

Dr. Connolly received his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University, and prior to attending medical school, he conducted specialized research for the emergency department at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He went on to earn his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.

Dr. Connolly’s clinical areas of interest include adult medicine and geriatrics. He became interested in medicine because it combined the science behind diagnosing and treating medical disease with physician-patient collaboration, working toward a common goal of achieving overall wellness and improving the quality of a patient’s life.

A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Connolly is an avid Philly sports fan. He currently resides in Loudoun County, VA, with his wife and three children. Outside the office, he likes to spend time with his family and support local businesses.
