Why I Chose Inova: It was clear on my interview day that the hospitalists at Inova are a team that I wanted to be a part of. Relatively high volume (particularly newborns), a great location to practice in and down-to-earth, friendly, welcoming staff made Inova stand out. I was thrilled to find out I had matched at Inova and can’t wait to see what all the fellowship has in store!

Why I Chose Inova: Inova Children's provides a wonderfully unique environment to practice pediatric hospital medicine. It has the rigor and access of an academic program blended with the patient-centric drive of a community institution. Based on its location, the hospital serves a diverse and varied patient population. In addition to these program characteristics, I was absolutely drawn to the program leadership and support. I wanted a program with personalized didactics and project development. I have been thrilled to have both curricular and personal mentoring from Program Director Dr. Halmon and Associate Program Director Dr. DeVeau-Rosen, along with personalized project guidance from Dr. Courtney Port. The entire pediatric hospital team is engaging, receptive, and supportive of my personal learning as a fellow.
