Why I chose Inova: As a resident at Inova, I knew I wanted to continue working with such a supportive and friendly group of mentors for fellowship. The hospital serves a diverse patient population with a high volume and wide breadth of conditions. The DMV area has also been a wonderful place to live with lots to do, with close proximity to many advocacy opportunities.

Why I chose Inova: I chose Inova for fellowship because from the moment I interviewed, I felt an easy connection with the faculty and learners – and I knew right away that I wanted to be part of such a supportive and welcoming team. The chance to care for a diverse, high-volume patient population really fits with what I'm looking for in my growth as a future pediatric hospitalist. Inova's focus on community-centered care, strong academic support, and its location in the vibrant DMV area make it the perfect place for me to keep learning and growing.

Why I chose Inova: Everybody was so open and friendly on my interview day! I could easily sense the camaraderie between the faculty and fellows. A huge pull for me is the structured guidance with scholarly activity that begins even before starting fellowship. Inova Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is also in a great location and serves such a diverse patient population. All in all, I know I'll get amazing mentorship and experience to be a well-rounded pediatric hospitalist!

Extracurricular interests: Running (which balances out all of the food and drink I like to enjoy), kayaking or just being outside.
Why I chose Inova: It was clear on my interview day that the hospitalists at Inova are a team that I wanted to be a part of. Relatively high volume (particularly newborns), a great location to practice in and down-to-earth, friendly, welcoming staff made Inova stand out. I was thrilled to find out I had matched at Inova and can’t wait to see what all the fellowship has in store!

Extracurricular interests: I love hiking in Virginia and taking trips into DC to try new brunch spots. I also used to do gymnastics and enjoy staying active.
Why I chose Inova: Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital provides a wonderfully unique environment to practice pediatric hospital medicine. It has the rigor and access of an academic program blended with the patient-centric drive of a community institution. Based on its location, the hospital serves a diverse and varied patient population. In addition to these program characteristics, I was absolutely drawn to the program leadership and support. I wanted a program with personalized didactics and project development. I have been thrilled to have both curricular and personal mentoring from Program Director Dr. Halmon and Associate Program Director Dr. DeVeau-Rosen, along with personalized project guidance from Dr. Courtney Port. The entire pediatric hospital team is engaging, receptive, and supportive of my personal learning as a fellow.
